Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms

Another very common problem in MS is visual problem. Because of the highly concentrated myelination, the optic nerves and optic tracts are affected by MS.  In this case, high IV corticosteroids ( methylprednisolone) are used to shorten the acute visual loss that comes after the optic nerve’s inflammation.

Diplopia, which follows internuclear opthalmologia or isolated brainsteminvolment of the extraocular mucles can be treated with steroids.
