Multiple Sclerosis Questions and Answers

Having multiple sclerosis doesn’t mean that one doesn’t take care of his or her body. Losing weight with Multiple Sclerosis isn’t any different than losing weight without Multiple Sclerosis,  with only one difference:

It is known that the dietary habits of a person with MS need to change, as there are some aliments that can excite their nervous system and exacerbate their symptoms. However, eating 5 small meals a day ( avoiding the aliments that excite the nervous system, of course) and having an exercise routine will help people with Multiple Sclerosis lose weight.

Of course, there are people with MS that can’t exercise anymore, and they turn to wonder pills and such. Now, some of those work, and some don’t. Most of them make you lose water, not fat. It’s needless to say that the scale immediately shows results due to water loss, but you become dehydrated. So, if you want to take any “wonder pills” you should get a hold of the product’s label and show it to your doctor. The product might have ingredients that can interfere with your current treatment scheme – besides dehydrating you.
