Multiple Sclerosis Questions and Answers

While it is true that for Multiple Sclerosis patients a healthier diet helps them find alleviation from some of this illnesses symptoms, and the use of supplements can prove to be beneficial, by no way this proved to be a cure for MS.

For the moment MS is a disease without a cure. There are some treatments that show promising results in alleviating and even curing MS in its early stages, but, for now, the scientific community has yet to find a permanent cure for this condition.

While a healthy diet is something that everybody should adhere to, MS patients need to be careful of what they eat, as there are aliments that can worsen their symptoms. This is why an aliment journal should be kept – what they had to eat, how it made them feel should be written down.

When it comes to supplements, these should be taken only after the MS patient consulted his or her doctor, because there are supplements that can interfere with one’s treatment, and do more harm than good in the end.  There are plenty of very good supplements out there, but under no circumstances these should be taken without first consulting a doctor.
