A lot of people, when they are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis don’t know what to expect. What should be expected once they have been diagnosed as MS sufferers?  Truth be told, this disease affects everybody differently, so, there are a lot of things that can happen, and there are a lot of things that may happen, and some that may not happen at all. It all depends on the individual, genetics, lifestyle, and the support he gets from his close ones.


However, MS is a progressive disease that affects the myelin coating of the nerve cells, which leads to fatigue, muscle weakness, bowel problems, depression, difficulty in thinking, balance problems, and more. A person will need to learn to adapt to this new condition and make the best of it. Today, there are a number of treatments that can help relieve some of the pain and make the symptoms more acceptable.


Nevertheless, a thing that should be known by everybody is the fact that MS is a progressive disease, and the only thing that can currently be done, is to prevent it progress to rapidly to a state where the person becomes a vegetable.
