Women who want to breast-feed can do so, granted the fact that they have ceased all medication that can interfere with a baby’s normal development. For more information about this, the woman that wishes to breastfeed must talk to her physician to find what medications should not be used and what are the alternatives.

Some of the drugs that should not be used during breastfeeding are disease-modifying medications like Avonex, Betaseron, Copaxone and  Rebif.
